Some children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and complex communication needs (CCN) acquire robust speech-generating devices (SGD) to assist with their functional communication. However, family members struggle to effectively support children’s device use at home. The purpose of this investigation was to examine the effect communication partner intervention on caregivers’ ability to implement aided language modeling (ALM) strategies with fidelity during family leisure activities.
