What is the Effect of Behavior Skills Training on the Staff’s Ability to Model Augmentative and Alternative Communication?

Despite increased recognition of the need for augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) training, there remains no standardized amount, mode, or content for implementation. Behavior Skills Training (BST), which includes instruction, modeling, rehearsal, and feedback, has demonstrated effectiveness in teaching new skills. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of behavior skills training intervention on the staff’s ability to model AAC.
