Occupational therapists graduate as generalists, yet few enter hand therapy despite rising demand for upper extremity rehabilitation. Limited access to specialty training, particularly for early-career clinicians, creates barriers to certification and highlights the need for scalable, evidence-informed education. This quasi-experimental educational case study evaluated the impact of a four-week online learning program with one-on-one coaching on knowledge, acquisition, confidence, and satisfaction among OTs pursuing hand therapy certification.
