Residual /y/ is one of the most commonly occurring and challenging phonemes to remediate, due to a lack of a universally accepted, evidence-based approach. Traditional articulation methods often prove ineffective for residual /y/, while biofeedback techniques, although promising, can be cost-prohibitive, require extensive training, and may not be practical for common clinicians. This investigation aimed to determine whether audio-visual animation (AVA), serves as an effective and accessible tool for treatment.
