Hospitalizations are a source of anxiety further exacerbated with invasive, life-sustaining equipment such as mechanical ventilation (MV). The primary purpose of this investigation was to determine what effect listening to binaural auditory beats (BAB) would have on anxiety in critically ill adults dependent on MV.
