Successful collaboration between school-based occupational therapists and classroom teachers in the general classroom creates opportunities to better support the diverse needs of neurodivergent students. A review of relevant literature highlights the benefits of such collaboration, including improved student outcomes, more diverse classroom management strategies, and increased teacher confidence in supporting all learners. Practical, sustainable strategies focused on effective communication, collaboration, and consultation highlight the benefits of these efforts. While occupational therapists possess the expertise to address sensory, motor, and self-regulation differences, the impact can be maximized through these initiatives with classroom teachers. This manuscript underscores the integral role of collaborative consultation in creative, inclusive learning environments that embrace the unique needs of neurodivergent students.
