Upper extremity musculoskeletal injuries commonly affect occupational performance, participation in meaningful activities, and quality of life. Although occupation-based interventions (OBIs) are fundamental to occupational therapy practice, the literature describing their use in upper extremity rehabilitation remains heterogeneous and inconsistently reported. The purpose of this scoping review was to identify, map, and synthesize the published literature describing OBIs used in the rehabilitation of adults with upper extremity musculoskeletal injuries.
