Aided language modeling (ALM) improves language for individuals with complex communication needs, mostly with speech generative devices. However, the exact procedures and dosages for modeling have not been thoroughly described or entirely consistent. The purpose of this investigation was to determine the effect of an augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) ALM intervention package on the number of prompted/unprompted symbol selections for preschoolers with autism using a core and fringe vocabulary static board.
